I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
